Favorite Science Fiction Movies - Scifiguy - 11-29-2025
I love Science Fiction, and there is no end to what I like in that subject area. But what is your top five Science Fiction movies and why? I have an endless list but if I had to name five which I am, then they would be.
- Star Wars the first one.
- Star Trek the Wrath of Khan.
- Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
- Blade Runner the original one with Harrison Ford.
- Heavy Metal the 1981 cartoon. Saw it at the drive in, and it blew my mind.
So what are yours?

For me there are a lot of choices as the genre is so broad. However, I would say my quick list would be.
Cloud Atlas, I think this is one of the best movies I ever seen.
Aliens - The second movie.
Star Wars, the Empire Strikes back.
Star Trek The Wrath of Khan. Nice choice on that one @Scifiguy.
The Martian with Matt Damen. I like it as it is just so well done.
I agree also with you when you said you have an endless list. There are so many honorable mentions.
